NEW UPDATED 2nd BLOGIVERSARY TABLESCAPE AND MIKASA GIVEAWAY

THIS IS A NEW AND UPDATED GIVEAWAY POST!

BECAUSE OF THE GREAT RESPONSE TO  STONEGABLE'S MIKASA GIVEAWAY THE WONDERFUL, GENEROUS FOLKS AT MIKASA ARE OFFERING...

ANOTHER FABULOUS PRIZE AND AN ADDITONAL WAY TO ENTER!

EVEN IF YOU HAVE ENTERED ALREADY THERE IS STILL ONE MORE WAY TO ENTER AND ANOTHER GREAT PRIZE TO WIN!!!

CHECK THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR DETAILS...

This week I am celebrating my 2nd Blogging Anniversary! Two years have gone by so quickly! 513 posts and 86 tablescapes later I have gained much more than I have given! Through my blog I have met people all over this world, made wonderful friends, and have learn so so much!  My home may be a little messier because I am spending time blogging but my life is much richer!

The kind people at Mikasa  have agreed to help me celebrate my 2nd blogiversary with a fabulous, wonderful, fun giveaway! Details at the end of this post...

But first things first... a Fall Anniversary Tablescape!

The inspiration for this table is my everyday Mikasa Italian Countryside dinnerware and these beautiful Damask Copper accent plates from Mikasa.

I am taking my everyday dishes out of the kitchen and into the formal dining room! If you have been with me for any time you know I lovingly call my Italian Countryside dinnerware the 'workhorses" of my kitchen! But I should also call them the Belle of the dining room!

A soft color palate of whites, cream, browns and metalics give this dressy table a "fall-is-in-the-air" feel. Formal elements are mixed with seasonal organics and a touch of sparkle. This is my favorite kind of table... formal, yet very comfortable.

Each place is anchored with a gold charger. The gold echos the gold in the rim of the copper accent plate.

A milky white Italian Countryside dinnerplate is paired with a leaf and berry salad plate. Italian Countryside goes with almost everything!

You are probably so used to seeing piles of mile high dishes on my tables. The beauty in the copper plates made me take a less-is-more approach in this tablescape. The kind Mikasa people sent me these lovely plates to use in this tablescape.

The Damask Copper accent plate brings the rich color of Autumn to each place setting! The pattern is so exquisite and detailed! They are just so perfect for the fall story I want to tell.  And they are the perfect dish to show off this oversized metalic acorn... a little take home gift for each guest!

An Italian crocheted lace tablecloth lets the dark wood of the table show through adding to the warm organic feel.
This tablecloth was found at an Antique show a few years ago, it was love at first sight!

Brown handled flatware rest on ecru linen napkins edged with a complimentary cotton lace.

I tucked some brown oak leaves and acorns under the dinner plate for a bit of festive seasonal fluff!

SG TIP: keep leaves, berries, stick, and little pieces of organics on hand to tuck here and there to soften a tablescape.

Delicate French Countryside goblets from Mikasa shimmer next to brown ribbed goblets from Target. Mixing glassware brings such interest to the table.

I will use the brown goblets for water and the French Countryside goblets for wine. I like putting wine in clear goblets.

Italian White Countryside cups and saucers are ready for tea or coffee. A teaspoon rests on each saucer! This is a great trick. If your table is a little crowded put your flatware on top of your dishes... it  looks very chic!

Salt and peppers and a creamer and sugar bowl are also beautiful Italian Countryside! Don't they have graceful lines?

The centerpiece for this Autumn table is a large wooden pedestal filled with nature's bounty! The star of this centerpiece is a big softly-colored fariytale pumpkin.

Acorns, magnolia leaves, little ghost pumpkins, chocolate brown dried hydrangeas, oak leaves and berries in colors of copper, brown and whites fill the base of the pumpkin

Pumpkins, acorns and leaves dance across the table.

Tall glass candlesticks with a tortoise shell inspired design hold white tapers.

Glitzy acorns and oak leaves are nestled around the base of the candle. It's little unexpected touches like this that make a table special!

Stacking dessert dishes on the table is a FAVORITE StoneGable trick. I love to decorate the dishes with elements in the table. Here, shallow Italian Countryside soup bowls are filled with sparkly acorns and oak leaves... but soon they will be filled with a yummy seasonal dessert!

Although typical fall colors were not used for this anniversary table, it is full of seasonal detail and sparkle!

I will suggest to my daughters not to buy a patterned china (wish someone had told me!). Love the damask plates (have not seen them in stores yet), brown stemware and metallic-y acorns. The centerpiece is also gorgeous. I hope you will have a good week. I'm sure it's not going to be easy getting back to normal. Thinking of you and your family. p.s.
