No one is more aware of the calendar than I am! As I am writing this I am sitting up in bed, legs wrapped in ice and very sore! Recovering from bilateral knee cap surgery is such a mess!
Way, way, way to slow of a recovery for me!
And I see the calendar days quickly moving by and I just can't wait to get back to normal!
I doubt I'll be making anything on my menu this week... But old habits die hard! If I can't cook this week, at least I can plan a menu, right?
Have a wonderful week... Enjoy some holiday music...it's time to get in some jolly Christmas spirit!
Now here's what's On The Menu...

Yvonne, due to the craziness of last week, I totally missed that you had had knee surgery. Hope you're feeling better by now and that your back on your game with your wonderful Christmas decor. take care, can I say "don't overdo it"? doesn't work when someone tells me. tehe!!
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating being stuck in bed at this time of the year. I hope the healing process speeds up for you. Your menu sounds wonderful. It must make you want to get up and bake.
ReplyDeleteGet Well
Hugs Kay
Sure hope you recuperate quickly! How hard at this time of year! I just love heating up the oven during the cold months and having the house smell warm and wonderful when anyone walks through the door. Everything sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad for you, and I know this is killing you to NOT be able to decorate etc. But I know Bobby is taking good care of you. I'll call tomorrow. XOXO
ReplyDeleteMega ~~healing prayers~~ winging their way for you, Yvonne! I wish there was something I could do to help you. I know you have to be frustrated beyond belief at this setback. Ugh! Maybe it is God's way of making you slow down? You do SO much & for SO many.
ReplyDeleteThis just brings into focus what is really important. I remember 2 yrs ago, right before Christmas Eve, when I fell down the garage steps with a glass vase in my hand & spent the next 3 weeks on crutches with stitches in my hand. NOTHING got done like usual but we had a very memorable holiday that we still talk about. DD brought over carry-out Chinese food & we sang "Fa-ra-ra" & laughed ourselves silly. The g'kids STILL remember it!
I hope each day that you improve a little at a time.
Hugs,
Rett
