Are you hot yet? Most of the country has been gripped by a triple digit heat wave! And here at StoneGable we are trying to keep cool ... the heat has chased us into the air conditioning. Oh, thank goodness for AC!
This week's menu reflects the steamy weather. I am keeping things light and fresh!
This 4th will be spent around the house and out in the garden. We really have not big picnic or 4th of July plans... and we are SO okay with that! Sometimes it is wonderful just to have a quiet day at home! But we will be flying our flags proudly and our hearts will be full of American pride!

ReplyDeleteGetting hungry just looking! Regarding the heat, we hit 104 here in Indiana this week. When visiting some friends in Chicago, they proclaimed the AC the greatest invention ever.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw that blueberry salsa receipt on Mary's blog...I knew i had to make it for my dinner party...I did..and it was a hit!...It was delicious...and then I took the leftover salsa and put it in a salad the next evening...It was really delicious!....Great featured recipes Yvonne!

ReplyDeleteI haven't had time to cook a thing since Sat. T and D moved out of here Sat. and I have been at their new house every day. oing back tomorrow but we are GETTING IT DONE!!!!!
