NO-SEW HALLOWEEN NAPKINS

I have some good new and some bad news!

The bad news is...

I am not a big Halloween Fan!

(WHAT A BUMMER  WAY TO START A POST)

I know, a pox on my pumpkin! I have never liked the idea of scary and other-world things and celebrating death!  And I am a little upset with Halloween for taking so much attention away from Thanksgiving!

But... here's the good news...

 I do love kids dressed in fun costumes and giving out candy and cats and bats and pumpkins. So I created these fun NO-SEW HALLOWEEN NAPKINS with the tamer side of Halloween in mind...

Fall is my favorite time of year, so I use the outdoor splendor of fall and bring it inside!

FALL TOOL CADDY ARRANGEMENT

My fall tool caddy arrangement reminds me of soup.  

Yes, soup!

Soup came about as a way to use up all the leftovers...when nothing was wasted.

This fall arrangement was made from all the fall elements I had left on hand.

A few white pumpkins, some small gourds, a handful of leaves, some stray willow balls a quartet of Indian corn, a sprig or two of berries... and voila

A fall arrangement for my kitchen table...

FALL HUTCH - WHITE PUMPKINS AND SOUP TUREENS

The little built in hutch in the dinning room is decked out for fall.

White pumpkins and soup tureen. Soft and simple...

PAINTING PUMPKINS WHITE

White mini pumpkins are very popular again this year! I had several people comment recently about the baby boo's I used to decorate StoneGable with this fall.

Apparently, mini white pumpkins are not available everywhere... but no problem. We can fix that!

I had a big bag full of orange pumpkins that I painted to look like baby boo's...

FALL VIGNETTES

I'm so ready for fall...maybe a little too ready!

To help everyone get in the Autumnal spirit and usher in THAT crisp cooler air... colorful leaves and even a pumpkin or two...

I chose a few fall vignettes from my archives to share!

FALL COFFEE BAR

Coffee can take on the most delicious flavors ... especially in the fall. There are so many wonderful seasonal coffees... pumpkin spice, hazelnut, vanilla spice, cinnamon, vanilla nutmeg... YUM!

When I have a crowd at StoneGable I like to put together a coffee bar so everyone can serve themselves, especially before breakfast...

This Pottery Barn Outlet galvanized tiered tray is such a versatile piece! Today it works as a Fall coffee bar on my kitchen island!

The Keurig coffee maker is on the opposite counter. A big white soup tureen holds lots of seasonal Kcups.

White coffee mugs hold rolled napkins in rich autumnal colors.

I love love love using oranges and blues together for fall... a little different... but I think they give fall a sophisticated look.

Sugar bowl and creamer and little burnt orange leaf plates are ready to be used by guests.

I would have shown some yummy pumpkin bread to go along with the coffee.... IF SOMEONE HAD NOT EATEN IT ALL! I'm so glad THE CULPRIT enjoyed it that much!

A bowl of tangerines is offered for fruit lovers.

The top tier holds a little cobalt blue vase of pyracantha... some cinnamon sticks to stir coffee... little blue and white spice jars with nutmeg and cocoa...and vintage spoons.

I tucked in a large egg cup filled with candy corn for a little fun treat! My boys go wild over candy corn.

White pumpkins work well in this coffee bar.

 A barmbly candle ring under the pumpkins add a little "fluff". Gotta have "fluff"!

A small gathering of pumpkins and pyracantha sit next to the coffee station.

I prepare everything the night before so when we wake up we can all have coffee and a little nosh to welcome the new day!
