Here in Michigan we are getting allot of snow today. I have to admit I enjoying watching it come down. It's not windy and bitter cold. The snow looks beautiful on the trees. Have a fire going, a glass of wine and no place I HAVE to be. The crockpot is cooking a yummy pot roast with potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. The house smells wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAs part of my weekly menu plan I'm planning a "soup of the week". I have fresh broccoli in the frig so I think I'll keep the crockpot out and use your great recipe. It's going to be a freezing cold (below 0) week so your soup will be so good.
Stay warm,
Ann
the peppercorn dressing is my favorite from this week's menu. thank you so much for putting so much effort into your recipes, they're so easy to print.

It's even FREEZING in Houston! And, we do not do "cold" well. Seriously, everything shuts down as we are not used to dealing with this. Thankfully, no rain or sleet. By week end it will be 70f. This is whip-lash weather.
ReplyDeleteI love soups, but I'm the only one in the house who does. And, your berry thing makes me want to do that right now. xx's
Hi Yvonne, It was so cold yesterday here in CT that our driveway became a skating rink. I made chili to feed the crew and it was completely devoured so no leftovers to add to baked potatoes today! Now it is in the 50s!!!!! and we are solidly fogged in!!! Tomorrow it is expected to go to 10 degrees as a high!! I think I will do Ina's chicken. I make it often but your secret addition sounds WONDERFUL!! Stay warm this week! Linda
