FALL HOME TOUR AND A $1,500 GIVEAWAY

Welcome to

ALL THINGS HOME FALL TOUR

This fall I'm using a subtle hand when decorating for my favorite season. Lots of organics and what I like to call "sticks and twigs".

I shopped my house for most of the vignette decor and did not drag up a single big plastic bins from the basement labeled "fall".

Come on in and let's get stared...

I am so pleased to be a part of...

Let's head to the heart of my home... my kitchen.

My island gives me lots of room to do some fall decorating.

This year I used two galvanized buckets filled with white mums. Asparagus fern were buddy planted in with the mums to give them a little interest.

The mums sit in a galvanized tray filled with white pumpkins. White pumpkins are easy to find in my area. I have a few Amish farms that are fabulous sources!

I'm just giving you a peek at the kitchen. You might want to stop back next week when I will be giving a Fall Kitchen Tour.

I set a fall vignette on my kitchen table. I love to play with dishes... and color.

I'm so drawn to the soft colors of Autumn. The leaves are just beginning to turn here and there is still so much green. I think I was inspired to use green instead of lots of oranges by what I see outside my windows!

Black and white are so dramatic. A pop of green goes a long why to tone down the contrast.

Twiggy wreaths make me swoon!

My family room is a big work in progress right now.

I just got a new dresser at the Pottery Barn Outlet and have not even had time to fill it yet.  We moved the round mirror from another wall in the family room and put it over the dresser.

I'm so happy to have another surface to decorate.

More fall color on the coffee table!

The tray holds a tall pitcher with faux fall twigs, white pumpkins, deer sheds....

Some of my favorite fall decor books and a fall nest.

The living room is dressed in the softer side of Autumn, as I like to say.

One of my favorite things to decorate this fall was the glass greenhouse. In keeping with the soft neutral colors in the living room, I used white pumpkins and silver. It gives the vignette a rustic luxe feel.

It is teamed up with white Pottery lanterns, silver candles and white pumpkins.

The rustic luxe fall theme is carried on through the white mum in the silver champagne bucket.

You can see a post about these dressed up mums by clicking HERE

I made this NO SEW Burlap Leaf Pillow with this room in mind.

To see how to make it click HERE

In years past I would decorate every nook and crannies of my home with fall!

This year restraint is my mantra... which is not an easy thing for this girl!

Just as I was taking pictures of the dining room the afternoon sunlight softly laid over the pumpkins and danced across the room bouncing off the chandelier.

I filled an old tool caddy with PeeGee hydrangeas and white pumpkins.

The hydranges were at their peak to be cut and brought in for drying.

Two hammered silver hurricanes stacked with pumpkins flank each side of the tool caddy.

I Love to find a fun and unexpected ways to use things!

Now let's end our tour where we began... the kitchen.

Pull up a stool and let's have a nice cup of mulled cider before you head over the next home on tour!

Thanks so much for visiting!

And remember...StoneGable's door is always open... to friend old and new!

Here are all the fabulous homes that are all gussied up for fall and ready for you to tour this week...

  13. Just beautiful, Yvonne! I love your idea for using the nest. I took my Fall bins down from the attic and wound up using very little from them this year. I find simpler and softer are my words for seasonal decorating in recent years. We'll see what happens come Christmas time though! : )

I am drying some hydrangeas and want to make a similar arrangement for my dining room table...thank you!! Kelly

    1. Good question Kelly,
I just laid and stacked them in the front and put them in groupings in ball jars in the back so they would stand a little higher. Hope this helps!
