ON THE MENU MONDAY ~ WEEK OF APRIL 29, 2013

There are two things you do not want to be in our household... an indoor potted plant or a gas grill. Both are destined to short lives!

We just ordered a new grill! YIPEE!!!!

We go through grills like no one else I have ever met. This spring we have been grilling on a tiny portable charcoal grill because our big gas grill bit the dust!!!

Bobby and I prefer charcoal and smoking to a gas grill. Although you can't beat a gas grill's convenience!

So Bobby ordered a gas grill/ charcoal grill/ smoker all in one. It's a monster! And that's a good thing. We are four season grillers... and take grilling very seriously.

I'm already thinking of all kinds of great spring and summer recipes for the grill!

More on the grill when it comes in, for now here's what's

  9. You are a temptress Yvonne! Pepperoni artichoke bread stick foccacia, Really? I don't think I can wait until Friday!! As for grills, I can top any story, My husband and my son can't have too many grills, they have at least 3 each at all times, and usually have at least 2 going at once! But we always seem to NEED a new one! Hey, if they want to cook, I can be supportive! :) Looks like a great week for recipes!

  17. Yvonne,
Thank you for including my Lilly Pulitzer shrimp & corn bisque among your features. I'm intrigued by your new grill. We think food cooked on charcoal tastes better, but a gas grill is convenient. I had no idea you could find them in a combination grill. How fun and solves the problem of which grill to buy.

Thank you for hosting each week. I brought an asparagus salad, gussied up with roasted red peppers, kalamata olives and red onions, served on a bed of baby arugula and dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette.
