I think all of us should head over to BEYOND THE SCREEN DOOR and read Sonya's post. It is about being content! Because most of us look at beautiful things on the blogs and that could make it is hard to be content with the reality of our lives! Great post... and a really fabulous PALLET PROJECT.

  10. Yvonne, I love your chairs. They are so beautiful. Now what would you say is the advantage of using chalk paint vs regular paint? I have a desk that I "antiqued" over 40 years ago in a soft green but it is time for a make-over and I would love your input. Thanks again, Yvonne, for your wonderful blog.

    1. Nancy, no priming or sanding the old finish with chalk paint. It covers very well and dries quickly... just a few advantages that come to mind!

    2. Thanks Yvonne. I just discovered a shop a short drive away that features ASCP so I will be making a trip there soon to see it in the flesh, so to speak. Thanks for your continued inspirations.

  12. Yvonne...the color washing tutorial is fabulous!! Thank you! I've more painting projects on my list so this is super helpful. Also, I painted my sideboard country grey. I love seeing the pure white with the CG...what a nice effect and easier to work with as the room evolves with wall color and fabric furniture changes. Also...it's good to see how it turned out with the dark wax. I got a little scared off as the wax was somewhat difficult to work with and it was much darker than I'd hoped...but your tips help me to think I will try again.
