PUMPKIN ART

Art comes in all form... and this time of year it even comes on pumpkins...

On a trip to the Pumpkin Wagon (I'll tell you more about that tomorrow) I found this leaf-carved pumpkin sitting on a bale of hay. I thought it was so artistic...

I have carved faces and words into a pumpkin but nothing so masterful!

Have you?

  7. Beautiful. A few years ago, I felt very energetic and I drew out and carved an entire scene on a rather large pumpkin. some places I cut through to give a peek a boo effect and others I just scraped off the skin for a stained glass effect. The lads were younger and enjoyed the pumpkin glowing in their hallway at nights.
Alas no pumpkin art this year as pretty much the entire month of October, I will have an IV 'pickline' in my left wrist for treatments.
    This one is beautiful!!
    Thanks for sharing Yvonne.

  8. That is gorgeous and here is a suggestion: I once read that if you wipe Vaseline on the carved parts of a pumpkin it SLOWS down the rotting process. Just yesterday I saw someone on Pinterest that used leaves as a STENCIL on their pumpkin and that is what I thought this was at first. XOXOXO

  14. I have never seen the likes before. They are magnificent.

I hope we will have pumpkins this year, mine failed to grow with the dreadful weather since April and I can only hope the harvest in the east of England will provide for me this year.
