HANGING BEAUTIFUL TRANSFERWARE AND AN EXCLUSIVE TRANSFERWARE GIVEAWAY

As I am putting the finishing details on my Farmhouse style kitchen and breakfast room, I turn to my great design love... decorating with dishes!

My newly renovated area has a neutral color scheme using texture for interest. Big antique shutters hang on either side of the bumped out eating area. They lend a big architectural punch but not a lot of warm detail.

I thought they needed something above them that was pretty and unexpected. A touch of  refinement... a big transferware platter.



I knew just the perfect place to get just the right transferware!  ENGLISH TRANSFERWARE on ETSY.
English Transferware is owned by my dear friend Nancy, from NANCY'S DAILY DISH. She has the most magnificent collection of gorgeous transferware pieces in every color and design. 

Look at the two beauties I purchased from her on-line shop... Such gorgeous pastoral scenes. Both in mint condition!

    Oh, so elegant. I have always loved transferware. My mother had a set that was to be passed down to me, but it was destroyed, along with her entire home, by fire. I was just glad she was safe.

    I would purchase Historic America Red. Red was my grandmother's favorite transferware and I love it as well.

    Your platters look perfect next to the shutters. Amazing how beautiful elegant dishes can look so nice next to chippy, worn shutters. I just love it.

    I absolutely love Transferware with my favorite color being brown. I have a treasured brown fern print pitcher which is very large that is one of my favorite things. Plus I bought it for $12.00!!!

    I love how your space has come together. You have given me an idea for my table as well. I have 4 blue antique mugs of my grandmother's that resemble your white ones. They could look nice on my table. She used them for root beer floats when we were little kids.

    Your brown transferware reminds me of my Old Village Johnson Bros transferware with mostly brown colors in it! But I like the all brown. They look great hanging over the door/shutter!

    I already have a good bit of red transferware, but I love the two color plates in red and black, might have to get one of those. Also I have my eye on Yellow Daisy Sunburst Vintage English Platter. I like to use little accents of yellow in my predominantly red and green decorating scheme. This is a lovely piece!

    Brown or green are my favorites in Transferware. I'd love to have a complimentary piece that would go with the one I got from my mother-in-law a few years ago.
