Easy Mini Cinnamon Buns

If I can make these delicious goodies, anyone can. So easy and so fabulous! Adapted from a recipe I came across in a magazine, they use ready made breadstick dough and ingredients most of us have on hand. Make sure you take one first, they will go FAST!

Recipe:
Breadsticks dough (I used Pillsbury- in the refrigerated section at grocer's)
4 TBS butter
4TBS sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1TBS instant vanilla pudding powder

Glaze:
1/2 cup powered sugar
1/2 TBS milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Melt butter. Grease muffins cups with butter. Mix sugar, cinnamon and vanilla pudding powder in a small bowl.

Open dough and turn on to a lightly floured surface.

Unroll dough and separate into individual breadsticks.

Lightly flatten out each breadstick. Butter breadstick with a pastry brush.

Top butter generously with sugar mixture and roll up.

Place each cinnamon roll-up in a muffin cup. Butter each muffin again and sprinkle with sugar mixture.

Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.

Remove buns to a wire rack to cool.

Make glaze. Mix powdered sugar and milk together. It should not be too runny. Add more powdered sugar if needed.  When cinnamon buns are cooled drizzle with glaze.

Plate (remember, keep one for yourself!) and Enjoy!

  4. No kidding, I was just wondering this week if I could use refrigerated pizza dough to make cinnamon rolls and here I read about using breadstick dough! I was going to spread the pizza dough with butter and cinnamon suger, then roll up and slice, but this saves the whole roll-up-and-slice step--how cool! I must buy some breadsticks and try this!

  7. Ugh! I just went to Lori's blog and got motivated to lose weight since it just seems to be melting off her. All gung ho on a diet and what do I do? Come here, drool over those and now say screw the diet, fat is fun!

I found a recipe for this breadstick dough that I so want to try too. I am thinking maybe a little brunch for my MIL on Valentine's Day with a variety of pastries and your toast cup herb eggs. Let me know where your car will be so I can borrow some cute dishes!

  14. I will have to make this for my guys! I saw a study about smells once on some news show and they said men reacted to cinnamon rolls just as strong as the did to women when attracted! For some reason I have never forgotten this. You should see all my guys(sons and husband) when we go by Cinnabon in the mall!LOL

To answer your question, I use poster paper and clip it to my plantation shutters. I have bad camera karma. I messed up my lens today, but I think Bandwidth fixed it.

Thanks for stopping by The Hut, it led me to your beautiful blog. I spotted the recipe for Taco Soup in your sidebar, a recipe my 18 yo granddaughter has wanted me to find and make for her for a couple of years now. Since the weather is still a little chilly here in Florida and she'll be here later today, guess what we'll be having for dinner tonight?

    Beautiful photos, beautiful blog!

In order for you to understand the magnitude of this statement, you must know that I hate to bake. But I want to bake these. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for commenting on my Pink Saturday Post.
