I make mine with navy beans only and don't use any tomato. I use ham hocks when I can find them, but I also buy smoked bacon pieces from Broadbents (I wrote about their store) to use with ham when I can't get the hocks. I've never even heard of using lemon. I'll try your recipe next time. <br /><br />I'm really glad to be getting to know you too.
