ON THE MENU... WEEK OF JUNE 23, 2014

It's been an unusual summer so far... a little cool and not very humid.  The garden is taking it's good ol' time switching into growing-like-crazy mode. The weather has been perfect for lots of meals on the new patio! Dinner lingers so much longer outdoors and we are happy to let mealtime blur into watching the lightning bugs come out and the sun set.

Summer and I may have had our issues in the hot and humid past but this year... so far... we seem made-in-the-shade best buds!

Now here's what's on the menu this week...

  3. Great menus for this week. Have to try the Lobster Bisque. We had the one at Jordan's Pond and it was to die for as were the popovers. It was one of the places we could go from our cruise ship a few years ago.
    So love your blog.

  4. I'm craving a StoneGable meal! The menu looks delish! Pinning quite a few of these to try, including the Jordan Pond popovers. We went there on our babymoon trip to Maine when I was 6 months pregnant with Jackson. We didn't have any lobster bisque there, but we did enjoy those popovers! I must get a popover pan so I can make my own.

  5. I read your blog every day just about I don't comment very often, but I did write once right after I started reading to tell you that you reminded me of my mom who I lost just over 2 years ago. I saw your berry crisp recipe and felt compelled to ask you if you had a blackberry cobbler recipe. You see my husband and I are expecting our 2nd child in January and my only craving thus far has been my mama's blackberry cobbler I've tried the cake mix versions and I've tried store bought and they just aren't making the cut to be enough like mama's. So I thought maybe just maybe you had one I could try?
