WHERE DID YOU GET THAT...

This has been the number one question from my readers lately...

I have answered dozens of e-mails and comment on the blog and now I have decided to do a post on this GREAT sofa because it's on sale and a very, very good buy!

Before I tell you about this sofa I first have to tell you two super important things...

1. I am not getting paid for this post. No money...nada! I'm just singing the sofa's praises because I have it and love it!

2. My philosophy on a sofa is... it is not a "forever" piece. I want to get 7-10 years out of a sofa. By then I am bored with it and want another style. But I do expect it to hold up!

I had a forever sofa in my living room for almost 30 years and could not stand to look at it for the last 15! I'll never invest so much in a sofa again!

The sofa that has gained so much attention lately came from Lamps Plus. Yes, Lamps Plus.

I spent part of my winning from being 2014 LAMPS PLUS Blog Of The Year on it. It was not on sale when I bought it.

Now here is what I found when the sofa came.... It is wonderfully made and very sturdy! The slipcovers fit perfectly!!!! And the fabric is very durable and looks great!

The seat cushions feel sorta line my temperpedic bed... very much like memory foam. The back pillows of the sofa are polyester and down filled for fluffy comfort.

All in all it is a steal of a deal! If you are looking for a very well made sofa at a great price... one that has upscale slipcovers and is very comfy... then this may be your sofa!

It is called the RACHEL and is on sale for $699.00 until May 26th! Yes, it is! But if your asking me... even at it's regular price of $799.00 it's a fabulous buy!

Click HERE for all the details!

One last thing... if you buy it, the legs are under the sofa in a pocket inside the sofa! It took us awhile to find them!

  1. It is a great sofa!! And you are so right about the "forever" sofa. I've had my sofa for 10 years now and am so sick of the sight of it!!

  4. Oh I hear ya!! Have had mine now for over 30 years and it's still going strong.....I cover it to change it up then my daughter reminds me that it won't wear out if I keep covering it up. Hubby is a firm believer that unless it's broken don't fix it. I'd love a sofa like that one. Too bad you can only order it in the USA!!

  6. I'm looking at it. I've had my white sofa for 35 years and it went through 5 kids. Granted they were afraid to get on it but a little puppy did it in.after all the kids were gone. It's still beautiful, but has some marks that won't come off. I've been looking for a replacement. Can you tell me if it's a natural color or and off white? I might just have to order it!

    2. Thanks Yvonne. I love it but it's 91" long and that's a bit big for my room. I think it's about 8" longer than the one I have.

  7. Love your sofa! Is your sofa white or natural? I could buy two for the price of one Pottery Barn sofa. I have had a PB sectional in denim for 11years now. A slipcover to change it up runs around $3000.00! Just can't afford that. Definitely thinking about selling it and purchasing from lamps plus.

  8. The slip covers say "Dry Clean Only". Do you really take them into the cleaners? Have you ever washed dry clean only slips?

    1. I have not taken them to the dry cleaners yet. I did Scotch Guard it and if someone (like little ones come over) I have a big white quilt that I throw over it. It will have to get pretty dirty before I dry clean it.

  9. I looked at it the other day when you mentioned it came from Lamps Plus. Do you know how much the shipping on it was and how long it takes to arrive? Sorry to ask more questions. I am seriously considering ordering it.

    1. The shipping is like any other "white glove" shipping... plan on $150.00 or a little more. But it is soooo worth it!

    2. Thank you for you kind reply. After I sent the comment, I thought that was silly of me when shipping would depend on where you live in the country. I've never ordered a couch or anything of that magnitude "sight unseen", but your recommendation carries a lot of weight. The couch I have now I have had for who knows how long. When my daughter moved out for college, I gave it to her. When she moved back in, the couch came back and I reupholstered it. But I rarely sit on it because it hurts my back so much. Thanks for giving us permission to switch out a couch every 10 years or less.

  13. My neighbor has a Rachel chair that she got from a yard sale. She needs a replacement cover and the customer service link from their site is not open on weekends. Do you know if they sell replacement covers. I can't seem to find that information on their site. Thanks!

  19. I am asking THE nosiest question, what became of your beautiful sofa with the perfect beige Greek Key Fabric? I was thinking it wasn't very old and you had a slip cover made for it. I loved that sofa!

  20. Can you give some info on the run under your coffee table? Love your sofa - I have one very similar but from Rooms to Go! I love the neutral color so that I can change the look for the seasons - you did a great job with your pillow arrangement.

    1. Susan, the rug under my sofa came from Overstock.com and is a nubby jute. I LOVE it too!!! We have 2 dogs and a cat that are often on it and it holds up well. It was so inexpensive that if I get a year out of it, I'll be fine with that!
