ON THE MENU MONDAY~ WEEK OF DECEMBER 2, 2013

Hi Friends! Can you believe it's already December? Only 23 days until Christmas!

No one is more aware of the calendar than I am! As I am writing this I am sitting up in bed, legs wrapped in ice and very sore! Recovering from bilateral knee cap surgery is such a mess!

Way, way, way to slow of a recovery for me!

And I see the calendar days quickly moving by and I just can't wait to get back to normal!

I doubt I'll be making anything on my menu this week... But old habits die hard!  If I can't cook this week, at least I can plan a menu, right?

Have a wonderful week... Enjoy some holiday music...it's time to get in some jolly Christmas spirit!

Now here's what's On The Menu...

Roast Root Vegetables

TUESDAY
Angel Hair Pasta

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY
Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Braised Cabbage with Bacon

FRIDAY
Crusty Bread

SATURDAY~ SOUP DAY
Veggie Sticks

SUNDAY
Crusty Bread For Dipping

Here are some other goodies I'm making this week...

  5. Sure hope you recuperate quickly! How hard at this time of year! I just love heating up the oven during the cold months and having the house smell warm and wonderful when anyone walks through the door. Everything sounds yummy!

  7. Mega ~~healing prayers~~ winging their way for you, Yvonne! I wish there was something I could do to help you. I know you have to be frustrated beyond belief at this setback. Ugh! Maybe it is God's way of making you slow down? You do SO much & for SO many.
This just brings into focus what is really important. I remember 2 yrs ago, right before Christmas Eve, when I fell down the garage steps with a glass vase in my hand & spent the next 3 weeks on crutches with stitches in my hand. NOTHING got done like usual but we had a very memorable holiday that we still talk about. DD brought over carry-out Chinese food & we sang "Fa-ra-ra" & laughed ourselves silly. The g'kids STILL remember it!
I hope each day that you improve a little at a time.
    Hugs,
    Rett
