ON THE MENU MONDAY

This week I am decorating for Christmas.... there... I said it!
Now I know I'll be getting calls from my children. I can just hear it.

Er... Mom? Are you okay? Really Mom... CROSSHOLIDATION?

You see, I am a one-holiday-at-a-time gal! No RED from Christmas decor bleeding into Thanksgiving browns and burnt oranges!

I am was the spokeswomen for giving each holiday and season their rightful turn!

But this year it all changed... and it's all YOUR FAULT...

I'm decorating for Christmas for my wonderful readers! I have come to realize that we all love to be inspired BEFORE before a holiday! And I am all about inspiring...

So, the Christmas music will be blaring at StoneGable and the smell of evergreen's will be thick in the air!

I'll be making wreaths and centerpieces and stockings and tending to all the ho-ho-ho details of the upcoming season... BEFORE THANKSGIVING!

I'm feeling a little crazy about this! I just may need to start a support group... CROSSHOLIDATORS R US!

  1. Well I am cleaning windows today getting ready for my decorations. We had our Christmas Pagent in the city on the weekend, so from then on it is Decorating time.

  3. You are so right to start decorating before everyone puts up their decorations. I've been pinning tree ideas like crazy. Unfortunately, I have to finish my Thanksgiving table before I can start Christmas. I also promised my husband a real tree this year so it will be a late decorating season here. I can't wait to see what you're up to and get some ideas!

  4. I know exactly what you mean about being a 'one holiday at a time' gal, but blogging really does have a way of changing that, doesn't it?,

Your menus always sound so delicious Yvonne! I'm planning on starting weight watchers very soon though, so I will confess I will probably not be enjoying any more of your recipes for a while. I'm determined to shed some weight before my daughters wedding in June.

    Have a great week!

  9. I am so glad you have crossed over! I always tell people - What better thing to be grateful for than the birth of Christ and I have no problem getting ready early and as a blogger, people can't wait to get inspired until it is already happening! Good girl!! Even if the kids give you trouble, I am behind you!
