As I work to finish the J & J Bedroom I have a mental vision for how the room should look. Click HERE to see the makeover progress.
In my vision, I see 2 small X ottomans at the bottom of the bed. They are wooden with a nice herringbone fabric and antiqued nailheads. I have been looking for them for several months. And I just could not find what I had envisioned!
While I was picking up a pole lamp at Pottery Barn Outlet on Wednesday I found these...
ON SALE.... ON A FABULOUS SALE!
They were the only two in the store! I scooped them right up and did the happy dance of bargain joy all the way home!
When I get a design idea it is hard for me to shake it! I knew that I wanted X ottomans (I call them hassocks). And these were even better than I imagined! I love the wonderful thick dark leather and the antiqued metal details.
A very handsome pair!
They can be used as a place to put the decorative bed pillows when sleeping.
And they are sturdy enough to sit on too!
And after...
with the ottomans and Hobbes, our rascally cat who loves to nap on the comforter!
My next project... tweaking the round mirror that goes over the bed!
Very nice. Love the two new ottomans.
ReplyDeleteI like your style: brief and informative. Good job!

ReplyDeleteIt's these little touches that you do that make your home so lovely! They really do make a difference in the room. I can't wait to see the mirror and how it will make it even better!

Fondly,

I love those x-stools...so versatile.
Perfection!! trying to envision the ottomans. But now that I have seen what you purchased instead, I cannot picture the other :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Yvonne.
Sweet find and equally so when a plan comes together.
ReplyDeleteAlso GREAT in a guest room for luggage - so no one puts dirty luggage on bed clothing.
ReplyDeleteGREAT finds, so so happy for you - I love when the perfect thing is finally found - and on sale, whoo hoo!
WOW! I like them much better than "hassocks!" They are perfect and look so good with the bed and your wood floors. You certainly scored on that and congratulations for being able to let go of Plan A. (I have trouble with that too.) They are wonderful!
ReplyDeletePerfect Yvonne!!
ReplyDeleteReally wonderful Yvonne...I love that the ottoman's are a place to put the pillows at night. I hate throwing beautiful pillows on the floor! Your natural colors are so pretty too. Looking forward to the rest!
ReplyDeleteExcellent find! They were waiting for you!
ReplyDeleteThey do look great at the foot of the bed and I love their styling. The mirror sounds like its going to perfect finishing touch!
Great finds!..Oh, Pottery Barn comes to the rescue...just love that store!..They look wonderful at the end of the bed.
ReplyDeleteYour furry friend sure does add to the cozy feel! Surprising how much those 2 seats finish off the look, great find. Wish there was an outlet for Pottery Barn around her....still drooling over the 3 tiered stand you set up as a coffee bar..
ReplyDeleteHi Yvonne: I'm a new follower. Your blog looks very interesting to me and I look forward to reading some of your past posts. The bed and the whole room looks very inviting. Those are the perfect stools. Just right for the decorative pillows at night, which are always a problem in knowing what to do with them. Mine happen to go into the bathtub! Thank you for leaving such kind words to me on my front porch. I'm glad you came by to visit..Happy Sunday..Judy
ReplyDeleteWhat luck! I so wish we had an PB outlet nearby! They luck wonderful at the foot of the bed :)
ReplyDeleteThey look absolutely gorgeous there... I love them! I'd be in trouble if I had a PB Outlet near me. :-)
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog...love the room...I have the same comforter, dark wood floors, etc...and, I'm looking for the same details to finish it off!!! Love it :) Cathy
