ON THE MENU MONDAY~ WEEK OF JULY 9, 2012

The farm to fork craze has captured the nation in recent years. Also known as farm to table or eating in season... this is nothing new for the avid backyard gardener.

No matter the size of our gardens...a couple of tomato plants in patio planters or a big swath filled with rows of vegetables, we eat from the land. Everything tastes so much better when we grow it ourselves!

Here at StoneGable, we have been eating and freezing zucchini everyday for a couple of weeks. I really love zucchini attitude! Wonderful givers!
My cukes are now becoming the stars of the garden and pickle making has begun!

The eggplants are waiting to be next, but the early tomatoes are jumping line to be picked! They are delicious this year!

I am very excited to harvest my rows of leeks as they are a new gardening venture this year! You will know when it it leek time... my menu will tell you!
