I am all about keeping cool these days... these mid-summer sweltering hot days! I hope you are running for the shade, cranking up the AC and eating foods that are cool and light!

The Brady girls from COOKIN' UP GOOD TIMES have a BLACKBERRY LEMON BREEZE SMOOTHIE that makes me cool just looking at it. Smoothies are my go-to breakfast in the summer, especially when it is too hot to eat!
I am on a mission to ban most bottled dressing from the refrigerators of America! Homemade dressings are fabulously delicious and once you see how easy they are to make, you will not easily drizzle from a store bought bottle again! I shouldnt look at food this early in the morning! Now my stomach is telling me its time to make something this morning. The BBQ shrimp baguette looks amazing and the pops would come in handy on this soon to be 105 degree day!
ReplyDeleteYour menu looks so delicious for the week! With hubby out of town, running the kids back and forth to sports, and doing a little canning, I am trying to keep things simple yet healthy around here. It can be a challenge when just grabbing a bite and running is so much easier!

Think I will have some grilled pizza from Saturday and probably stay away from the frozen sangria, although frozen would probably not do to me what drinkable did.

Just a quick sidenote ... when mine starting to melt during the photo shoot, I just stuck them in a wine glass and 'drank' them as a slushie. They make a fabulous wine slushie, too. :-)
