FRESH AS A DAISY TABLESCAPE

The table is set for a breakfast for two on the porch. It is one of those rare summer days around here...softly warm but no humidity! A real gift.

(I thought you might enjoy this table now that so many of us are in the middle of a heatwave!!!)

A little table was set to enjoy the weather, the food, the view and the special company...

Daisies are blooming in the garden and I wanted to include them in a simple, fresh tablescape!

A simple stack of black and white dishes (HomeGoods) are topped with a single daisy flower. So sweet!

The daisy offers a pop of fun yellow to the dishes!

Gold bubble goblets add more warm yellow to the table!

Yellow cups and saucers (HomeGoods)  are elevated on wrought iron stands... just because!

Yellow napkins (TJMaxx) edged in a crocheted scallop are bright and as fresh as the daisies!

It is gathered up in a white wrought iron bird napkin ring (Luckett's).

My collection of pitchers are often used as vases!
They are never prettier than when they hold garden flowers!

Breakfast is ready! Let's eat!

Your table is "fresh as a daisy"!!!!We are kindred spirits: today as I got home from helping Tracy, I saw that there are some daisies growing at the entrance to the development. I thought" I wish I could cut some for a table"!!!! You beat me to it:):) Have a restful 4th. We are going to Tracy and Dave';s for a small family picnic. XOXO, P

  31. Just beautiful, Yvonne! It gives me a bit of hope. We are still under a heat advisory here through at least Saturday with highs in the 100s. We haven't seen a drop of rain for weeks. I'm surprised there's so much as a single blade of green grass left in our yard!!! We've battled and battled to keep it green, but we are now under a water usage restriction. Scared for what will happen if people shoot off fireworks tonight and they land in yards! Your daisies are SO healthy!!! They look wonderful, especially teamed up with the yarrow and against the black & white dishes. Have a safe and fun 4th!

  32. Yvonne~ Fresh as a daisy indeed...I feel cooler already! I snuck inside to escape the heat and take a break hoping no one comes looking for me until our fireworks display on the lake begins :)

I love your black & white stack of dishes with the daisy on top! Your delightful napkins and pitchers of flowers are the perfect touch! Happy Independence Day!

  35. Yvonne,
I just L O V E this tablescape...reminds me of Doris Day..."Please Don't Eat the Daisies"!The detail in the pitcher mimics the petal of the daisy...exquisite! Again, the flowers on your plate with the black centers mimic the yellow center of your daisies! The cup and saucer on the risers is darling. Would certainly make one smile during breakfast conversation! Thank you for this "uplifting" Summer tablescape!
    Fondly,
    Pat
