Sunday Scripture~ February 27, 2011

The White Synagogue Ruins, Capernaum Israel

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you;  Take your everyday, ordinary life- your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around life- and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.

Don't become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit in without ever thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out.

Readily recognize what He wants from you and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to it's level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity.

Romans 12:1-2, The Message

  3. Yvonne,
These words are such an inspiration to me, thank you for continuing to be God's voice in our world.
I recently lost my job. I'll recover quickly from the unemployment part of the situation. I'm still struggling with the deceit and lies that I heard over the last 30 days before the shop sold. I'm praying for forgiveness and for healing. God is amazing! He fulfills our need and is restoring my soul. This scripture blessed me in wonderful ways!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  11. Your post fits right in line with much of what I'm hearing from my spiritual friends, a recently attended prayer service, Bible Study and a group of whom I'm a part called Women at the Well. Well done.
