SPRING ARRANGEMENTS USING GROCERY STORE BLOOMS

I'm working with store bought flowers today to make pretty spring arrangements for very little money and very little effort!

Arrangements that are out-of-the-box (or vase) amazing!

I spent $10.00 and got one bunch of tulips and one bunch of freezia. I also got daisy-like flowers and goldenrod on sale for 99 cents a bunch... all these flowers for about $12.00.

Let's get started and I'll show you how I made them...

The first arrangements is a mix of white tulips and freesia...

I like to keep flowers all in the same color family. I think it has a bigger visual punch!

I added sticks from my yard that I spray painted white for height. I am the queen of "sticks and twigs"!

To make a vignette I added a handcrafted nest to the base of the cylinder vase!

The second arrangement is just the sweetest!

I get my eggs from a friend (thanks Cathy), so I have access to some amazing colored eggs.

I just cracked the eggs near the top, rinsed them out and filled them with these pretty delicate flowers!

A grouping would look adorable on an Easter table!  Or on a dresser in a guest room.

I think they would also look so sweet lined up along a kitchen windowsill, a shelf or grouped on a little bench!

The last arrangement used the flower leftovers!

I pulled a couple of white plates from the cupboard and a cup and two saucers for this easy arrangement.

I hope you will join us... and CELEBRATE the coming of Spring!!!

  3. My favorite is the tulips and freesia. I like a mass grouping of all the same flower or, like you mentioned, flowers all in the same color family. The spray painted sticks are lovely. Just beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

  14. Each one is a visual delight, Yvonne. Wish I had a source for the natural colored eggs. They are so soft and lovely. Perfect for spring! I've used the idea of using egg shells as mini vases. It's a nice touch to a pacesetting. I picked up some little colored glass egg cups from World Market just for that purpose. Thanks for sharing...........sarah

  16. Beautiful Yvonne. Not sure which is my favorite today. I'm going to have to try spraying twigs from the yard. Love how they enhance the tulips. Teacups were precious. How creative to use moss between the stacked plates. The video was so much fun to watch. Thank you for posting it. It was so nice to hear your voice. Hope spring comes soon to you. Pam

  46. Hi, Yvonne. The tulips and fresia arrangement is lovely--what a difference the twigs make! (I save the curly willow and other such pieces that come in arrangements I receive because I love to re-use them!), but ONLY YOU, would come up with not only stacking the cup and saucer on other saucers, but adding the moss! Your creative talent amazes me. It's lovely. ~Zuni

  47. All three arrangements are just gorgeous, but I think the egg one is my favorite, just because it is so small and sweet. I will have to try this with my polka dot egg cups and maybe a mini fern I bought the other day. Thanks for the inspiration.
