Sunday Scripture, January 16, 2010

Makhtesh (Crater) Ramon, Negev Israel

Blessed are you who give yourselves over to God,
turn your back on the world's "sure thing".
Ignore what the world worships;
The world is a huge stockpile of God-wonders and God-thoughts.
Nothing and no one comes close to YOU!

I started talking about YOU, telling what I know,
and quickly ran out of words.
Neither numbers or words
account for YOU!
Psalm 40:4-5, The Message

  4. Yvonne,
    Amazing that we would run out of words talking about one! Christ's influence in our lives should contain enough experiences that we, too, would run out of words speaking of His goodness! Thank you for this post today!
    Fondly,

  5. Reminds me of Romans 12:2 "Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." I try to ask myself if I'm doing that when it appears I might be trying to justify my behavior by a standard set in this world. Thank you for your Sunday Scripture posts.

  7. So true, Yvonne ~ sometimes there are no words... and we need to simply be still and know that HE is God!
